Wisniewski also made all her own clothes in high school, and though shopping for clothes today is so convenient, both women will still make their own clothes for special occasions. “It’s harder to find a fabric shop, but we sometimes go to New York City to Mood (of Bravo’s ‘Project Runway’ fame) to find special notions and trims,” Wisniewski said.
The favorite part of their job comes after all the work, when the mothers come to pick up the gown or suit. “They always cry. We've never had a disastified customer,” said Fatum.
